What is Content Management?

Content Management, once installed and configured to your needs, allows anybody
regardless of web knowledge to create and update content within their site.

Doubledub works with Mambo and Joomla, two of the most poplular applications on the
web today. Becuase these are open source applications, Doubledub's programmers can
add, remove, and modify existing modules to conform the site to your needs.
How does it work?

By storing all the information displayed inside of a database, the pages are created
dynamically allowing for infinite amounts of changes to the content.

Creating the pages dynamically allows for immediate reflection of graphic changes
among all common elements, reducing maintenance time and money.

With an administrative login and password, you would login to a secure administrative
area which allows for content changes. Using what is known in the industry as a
WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor, you can add and edit the pages to make
them look the way you want them to.

If you can format text and pictures in Microsoft Word environment, you can create
the content for your website.

Knowledge of HTML is not required, although if you do know HTML there is an area
to insert code as well.
How can I get it?

Web hosting companies that support the Fantastico Package of open source software
will have options for supported CMS applications.

Doubledub hosts with Blue Host and thus allows for Content Management Systems to be
installed.
How much does it cost?

Because the software is open source, the cost falls back on installation and
modification rates.
Most Doubledub applications involving CMS are smaller managed sites for
companies and organizations on a budget. This option is practical as it allows
people within their organization to maintain the site instead of paying monthly
rates.

Doubledub charges $500 to setup and do basic modifications.
Advanced modules or custom addons
are subject to hourly rates or negotiated amounts on a per project basis.
